MARGAO: Cuncolim police arrested Sushan Nayak (21), a waiter from Sarzora, Salcete, for allegedly raping a minor girl, who is now pregnant.

He was remanded for five days by the Margao JMFC court under BNS 2023 Section 65(1), GCA 2003 Section 8(2), and POCSO Act 2012 Section 4.
The victim, brought to Goa from Jharkhand without her parents’ knowledge, will record her statement in court. Nayak was picked up from his rented room in Salcete, and evidence, including his clothes, has been seized.
