Before polls, Panchayats Dept gets new Director

PANJIM: With just a month left for the village panchayat polls, the State government on Thursday transferred Panchayats Director Gurudas Pilarnekar as Registrar of Cooperative Societies, replacing him with Sandhya Kamat.

PANJIM: With just a month left for the village panchayat polls, the State government on Thursday transferred Panchayats Director Gurudas Pilarnekar as Registrar of Cooperative Societies, replacing him with Sandhya Kamat.
Elections to the 190 panchayats are proposed to be held on May 21, with the department having commenced the delimitation process of wards.
A day after the police reshuffle, government issued transfer orders of bureaucrats including that of Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Chief Ministers Office (CMO) Sudin Natu, who has been transferred as Under Secretary (Revenue) thereby relieving Ashutosh Apte of the additional charge. 
As per the order issued by Under Secretary (Personnel-I) Meghana Shetgaonkar, current Registrar of Cooperative Societies Meena Goltkar has been kept without a posting, while Social Welfare Director S V Naik has been given additional charge as Director of Women and Child Development and Tribal Welfare. 
Deputy Collector (Revenue) North Clen Madeira has been given additional charge as Chief Officer Mapusa Municipal Council.
CCP Deputy Commissioner Geeta Nagvenkar has been transferred as Under Secretary to WRD Minister Vinod Palyekar. The post is on deputation. As such, Deputy Registrar of Co-operative societies Akshay Potekar will hold additional charge as CCP Deputy Commissioner. Mines Director Prasanna Acharya has been relieved of charge of Officer on Special Duty to the Advocate General. 
All the officers have been asked to report to their new charge within the next three days.
