The minister assured that he will follow up this proposal with Chief minister and added that if a domestic consumer is charged 3 paise and a commercial consumer 5 paise then the Electricity Department will carry out the maintenance of the street lamps. There are some streets where street lamps are needed, so in such cases, the panchayat and the municipality can write to Executive Engineer and get them installed.

Chief Electricity Engineer Rajiv Samant informed that the new electricity office, which is spacious, has two assistant engineers and several junior engineers along with other staff. Services such as billing, grievances, etc, will be provided to the residents of Verna, Nuvem, Cansaulim and Nagoa”.
