PANJIM: Sanresh Shedekar of Old Goa won the Cycling Goa’s 20km cycle race held at Verna on Sunday clocking a quick, 32:43 minutes for the distance.
The race followed by a cycle rally was organised to commemorate the forthcoming Environment Day.
Sanresh was followed by Fredsan Marshall of Goa Velha who clocked 32: 46 minutes, while Sylvano D’Souza of Porvorim bagged the third position clocking 33:03 minutes.
In the Masters category, Russell Bell of Benaulim won comfortably in 34:35 minutes followed by Francis Rodrigues of Margao who finished in 38:19 minutes and Anuradha Guglani of Porvorim, the lone woman rider in the fray, coming third in 41:56 minutes.
A total of 100 cyclists took part in the environment cycle rally which followed the race.
