MARGAO: Host United Club of Telaulim defeated Cuncolim Union 7-6 via the tie-breaker to move into the final of Telaulim Panchayat Cup football tournament played at Telaulim ground, Navelim, on Thursday.
Cuncolim opened the scoring in the 6th minute through Frazier Fernandes.
Crossing over, Telaulim equalised through Alvito Colaco’s ground shot. Soon, Sandy Colaco scored 2-1 for United Club of Telaulim in the 47th minute. Cuncolim equalized with Clifton Fernandes rasping shot in the 59th minute.
In the tie-breaker, UC Telaulim netted through Joseph, Avlon, Jose, Sandy and Jaison while Cuncolim Union through Krishna, Edny, Edwin Pereira and Nilesh Velip. In another semi-final SCC Davorlim defeated Wilred Leisure 3-1 to book final berth.
