MAPUSA: Guirim Youth Cultural and Sports Club thumped Bastora United FC 6-2 in GFA’s Third Division Football League match at Duler Stadium, here, on Thursday.
Guirim took the lead in the fifth minute through Narahari Divkar and two minutes later, Preet Pavar doubled the advantage.
In the 12th minute, Narahari secured his brace with a deft placement as Guirim led 3-0 at half time.
Post resumption, Bastora pulled a goal back through Nikhil Karapurkar’s venomous striker but Haresh Divkar scored the fourth goal for Guirim in the 70th minute.
Two minutes later, it was all over for Bastora as their opponents scored the fifth goal through a self-goal by Joyel Martins.
However, Alan Monteiro reduced the margin for Bastora.
In the dying minutes, skipper Ranjit Naik sealed three points for Guirim.
