Parish Youth, Nuvem registered a solitary goal win over Saligao United Club to move into the quarter-finals of Anjuna Caisua Village Panchayat Cup organised by Anjuna Gymkhana, at Tembi ground, Anjuna on Monday.
After a barren first session, Nuvem broke the deadlock in the 47th minute, when winger Gammy Costa beat the rival goalkeeper through an adroit placement.
Nuvem came close to doubling their lead on several occasions. However, Saligao goalkeeper Dietmar Fernandes brought out some superlative saves to keep the scoreline respectable.
