Melvin nets winner for Macazana

MARGAO: Macazana Welfare SC defeated United Club of Nerul 2-1 to move into the quarter-finals of the 20th Holy Cross Cup at Voilem Moll Kakoda ground, on Thursday.

United Club of Nerul opened their account in the 20th minute through Rajat Chopdekar’s rasping drive.
Crossing over, Macazana Welfare SC levelled in the 38th minute through Steven Fernandes’ grounder.
Thereafter, Melvin Fernandes scored the match winner for Macazana Welfare SC in the 45th minute.
