PANJIM: Chowgule Sports Club registered a comfortable 30-run victory over Seiko Club in the final of Goa Cricket Association’s (GCA) Premier Division League, at GCA ground, Porvorim, on Sunday.
Chowgule won the toss and elected to bat, posting Chowgule 220/7 in 40 overs. Aniket Dessai scored 85, Saurabh Bandekar 81 and Mahesh Rao 13.
Aditya Angle (3/47), Suyash Prabhudesai (2/39) and Sahil Dhuri (1/40) tried hard for Seiko.
In reply, Seiko managed 190/9 in 40 overs with Suyash Prabhudesai’s 68, Aditya Angle’s 28 and Keenan Vaz’s 34.
Dhiraj Yadav (2/21), Sagar Naik (2/23) and Kashinath Chari (2/51) picked up crucial wickets.
