The Shirvoi to Kevona road has become an internet sensation for all the wrong reasons, with social media flooded with videos and reels showcasing its alarmingly poor condition. What was once a routine commute has now become a safety hazard, especially for two-wheeler riders and pedestrians.
The road is riddled with massive potholes, making it nearly impossible to navigate safely. Several accidents have already been reported, particularly involving motorcyclists who are unable to maintain balance on the uneven, broken surface. Local residents too are finding it increasingly difficult to walk or cross the stretch.

Despite repeated complaints, repair efforts have been half-hearted. Stones have been dumped haphazardly, and a patching machine was used only on relatively smooth sections, leaving the worst potholes untouched. Instead of improving conditions, these superficial fixes have made the road more unpredictable and dangerous.
The situation has sparked public outrage, with citizens expressing frustration over the inaction of local authorities. Notably, local MLA Subhash Phal Desai has remained unresponsive to the mounting complaints, further fuelling dissatisfaction among the residents.
As the rainy season continues, concerns are growing that the road may deteriorate further, increasing the risk of serious accidents. Locals are now demanding immediate and comprehensive repairs to ensure public safety.
