Babu Gaonkar, a resident of Tambdi Surla, sustained serious injuries after being attacked by a wild bear while walking through the forest area in Collem on Wednesday.
According to sources, the bear attacked Gaonkar from behind, leaving him with deep wounds. Locals rushed to his aid and quickly arranged for him to be transported to the Goa Medical College (GMC) Hospital in Bambolim, where he is currently receiving medical treatment.
