PANJIM: Close on the heels of the rupturing of a gas pipeline at Bhatlem on Sunday, the Smart City workers ruptured a water pipeline in the city. While in Bhatlem near gas leakage disaster was averted on Sunday, on Monday, a water pipeline was ruptured near the Government printing press on MG Road. What anyone with common sense just cannot understand is how the Smart Citywork is carried out without any map of the underground cable, gas pipes and other services network.
It amazes one how the Smart City work is carried out without the necessary PWD, Electricity Engineers at the Site. What amuses one is how the labourers carry out the work without their own engineers and supervisors.

What appears to the common citizens is that public money is wasted nearly every day with puncturing of water, electricity and gas pipelines. The carelessness with which the work is carried out is a real shame, many activists and citizens opine.
