At least 30 people, including women and children, were killed in Tirah Valley, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, after a Pakistan military operation targeted Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) hideouts on Monday. Local police reported that bomb-making materials stored by TTP militants exploded, causing casualties among militants and civilians.
Videos on social media showed injured children and women receiving aid at makeshift facilities. Police confirmed that 14 militants, including commanders Aman Gul and Masood Khan, were killed in the operation. The hideouts were reportedly used for producing roadside bombs, and militants allegedly used civilians as human shields.

The incident comes amid a surge in TTP attacks in the region, with many militants believed to have found sanctuary in Afghanistan following the Afghan Taliban’s return to power in 2021.
