The Economic Offences Cell (EOC) has registered an FIR against Prakash Motwani, Lata Prakash Motwani (both Mumbai residents), and six others for allegedly cheating a Mumbai-based investor of over ₹4 crore.
The accused reportedly duped the victim under the pretext of an investment in a hotel project in Candolim, Goa. Authorities are investigating the matter further to trace the accused and recover the defrauded amount.
