WhatsApp, the instant messaging giant used by billions globally, has introduced a new feature making it easier to share Status updates with either your full contact list or a selected subset. Instead of manually adjusting visibility each time, the new setting allows users to share with ‘My Contacts’ by default, simplifying the process.
In addition, WhatsApp is testing a ‘Close Friends’ option, similar to Instagram, allowing users to post updates exclusively to a trusted group. Another upcoming feature will let users control who can reshare their status, restricting forwarding to specific audiences.
