In a major raid, the Crime Branch seized around 500 boxes of illegally stored liquor from a godown located in Kellini-Usgao, officials said on Monday.
Acting on a tip-off, a team from the Crime Branch conducted the raid and discovered the large stock of liquor stored without valid permits. The officials immediately sealed the premises and detained four individuals in connection with the illegal operation.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the liquor was meant for distribution without excise clearance. Authorities are now verifying the origin of the consignment and its intended buyers.
