Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the people had voted for a developed and prosperous Bihar after the BJP-led NDA cruised to a decisive victory in the Assembly polls. He said voters had embraced a new MY formula — Mahila and Yuva — rejecting the older narratives. Modi reiterated that “Katta Sarkar will never return to Bihar”, adding that the mandate reflected the people’s commitment to a “Viksit Bihar”.
With the NDA decimating the Mahagathbandhan, the BJP won or led on around 90 seats, while Nitish Kumar’s JD(U) secured nearly 84 seats. The RJD was reduced to about 25 seats. Modi said the record turnout showed people voted without fear, praising their faith in democracy. He thanked voters and NDA workers on X, saying governance, development and social justice had won, adding that the coalition would elevate Bihar’s progress and create more opportunities for women and youth.
