Vasco MLA Krishna Daji Salkar, along with Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to discuss longstanding grievances related to delayed medical bill payments and inadequate healthcare services for beneficiaries of the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) in Goa.
The concerns were first highlighted by the United Veterans Association, which pointed out serious service gaps affecting retired defence personnel and their families. During a function at Goa Shipyard Limited, the Defence Minister acknowledged the issues and assured that they would be taken up on priority for early resolution.
The assurance has brought hope and relief to ex-servicemen across the state, who have been seeking improved access to medical facilities and timely reimbursement support under the ECHS network.
