The Goa cabinet has granted post-facto approval for ₹16 crore spent on organising the birth anniversary celebrations of tribal icon Birsa Munda. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant confirmed that the expenditure also included ₹4.5 crore allocated for repairs and renovation works at Ravindra Bhavan in Margao ahead of the event.
The approval formalises the spending incurred during the programme, which was organised as part of statewide commemorations honouring Birsa Munda’s legacy.
