Birch Fire Tragedy: Victims’ Families Meet CM Pramod Sawant, Seek Swift Chargesheet

Advocate Vishnu Joshi, representing the families of victims of the Birch fire tragedy, met Goa Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Thursday along with several family members to place a set of demands before the government.

During the meeting, the families urged the authorities to ensure a thorough and time-bound investigation into the tragic incident. Responding to their concerns, Chief Minister Sawant assured them that he would personally monitor the probe and ensure that a chargesheet is filed at the earliest.

Among the key demands raised was a request that the Luthra brothers, who are currently in custody in connection with the case, be lodged in separate cells. The families expressed apprehensions and sought strict adherence to custodial protocols.

The Chief Minister gave a patient hearing to the grievances and reiterated the government’s commitment to delivering justice to the victims and their families through a fair and expeditious investigation.
