Sanju Rathod is an Indian singer, songwriter, composer, and lyricist who has emerged as one of the most influential voices in contemporary Marathi music. Asked if success creates pressure, he says, “A little pressure always hits in but I see it as motivation. I focus on being honest with my music. For Sanju, it still feels surreal. “Honestly, the village boy in me never dreamt about this feat. I come from humble roots, and this feels unreal. It’s proof that if your music is honest, it can travel anywhere in the world. I’m grateful every single day,” says Sanju. Sanju even opened for Alan Walker at Sunburn. He shares, “Sunburn was insane. The crowd’s energy was overwhelming. Seeing people sing along and dance to my songs on such a big stage was a dream moment.” Looking ahead, Sanju is open to new collaborations, especially in Goa, “Goa has amazing talent and a unique sound. I’d love to collaborate and create something fresh that blends our styles,” he informs.
