A fatal road accident was reported at Panzorconi involving a tourist taxi and a scooter, in which the scooter rider, Ulhas Gaonkar (45), died on the spot. The incident occurred when the taxi allegedly hit the scooter, leading to outrage among local residents.
Tension flared at the accident site after people accused Cuncolim Police of not showing prompt interest in completing the required legal formalities. A heated argument broke out between locals and the police, following which the police conducted the panchanama.
