Retired employees of the Kadamba Transport Corporation (KTC) from across Goa on Monday gathered at the corporation’s head office to demand implementation of the 7th Pay Commission and release of their pending arrears.
The retirees said they have been awaiting the revised pay benefits for a long time and accused the authorities of delaying a decision on the issue. They pointed out that rising living costs have made it difficult for pensioners to manage their expenses without the promised revisions.

Addressing the gathering, representatives of the retired staff urged the state government and KTC management to resolve the matter at the earliest and ensure that all eligible retirees receive their dues.
The protesters warned that if their demands are not met soon, they would be compelled to intensify their agitation.
