Villagers from Palem-Siridao, who stayed overnight on Friday at the Town and Country Planning (TCP) Department office, have strongly opposed the proposed and approved zone changes under Section 39A of the TCP Act. They are demanding that the two projects planned in the village be halted. According to the protestors, one project includes around 60 plots, while the second has nearly 70 plots. On Saturday, the agitation intensified with villagers raising slogans. Police personnel brought several protestors down to the ground floor during the demonstration. The local MLA was also detained by the police. Here is the complete pulse of the protest.
