Goa Women’s Forum Boycotts Deposit Refund Scheme, Demands Better Waste Management Policy

The Goa Women’s Forum has announced a boycott of the state’s Deposit Refund Scheme, calling on the government to scrap the initiative and introduce a more effective waste management policy.

Members of the forum stated that the existing scheme has several shortcomings and does not adequately address the larger issue of waste management in the state. They argued that a more comprehensive and sustainable policy is needed to tackle the growing waste problem.
