Pakistan all-rounder Salman Agha has spoken out after his controversial run-out during the second ODI between Pakistan national cricket team and Bangladesh national cricket team at Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.
Despite Pakistan registering a comfortable 128-run victory, the moment involving Agha and Bangladesh skipper Mehidy Hasan Miraz became one of the most talked-about incidents of the match.

Agha was batting confidently on 64 off 61 balls and building a solid partnership with Mohammad Rizwan. During Mehidy’s over, the ball struck Agha’s pad and bat before rolling close to the bowler. Believing the play had effectively stopped, Agha attempted to casually return the ball to Mehidy. However, the Bangladesh captain quickly collected the ball and completed a run-out, catching the Pakistan batter outside his crease.
The dismissal surprised both players and fans, with the clip quickly going viral on social media. Agha later admitted he was disappointed but acknowledged that the dismissal was within the rules.
“I think sportsman spirit has to be there. What he did is within the laws, but from my perspective I would have done it differently,” Agha said. The all-rounder added that he believed the play had ended after the ball struck his pad and bat, which is why he tried to hand the ball back to the bowler.
