Yash Dayal Wedding: Who Is Shweta Pundir? Social Media Influencer Marries RCB Bowler Accused in POCSO Case

Indian cricketer Yash Dayal has reportedly tied the knot with his long-time partner Shweta Pundir in a private ceremony held earlier this year. The wedding, which took place on February 4, was attended only by close family members and relatives, with no cricketers present at the event.

The quiet ceremony comes at a time when the left-arm bowler, who plays for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Indian Premier League, continues to face serious allegations that have sparked discussion across social media and cricketing circles.

Dayal has been accused in a case registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO). According to reports, the allegations claim that the cricketer maintained a relationship with a minor over a period of time while allegedly making promises related to a cricketing career. The case has drawn significant attention due to the seriousness of the charges.

Who Is Shweta Pundir?

Shweta Pundir is a social media influencer and vlogger based in Delhi. She has built a strong following online, with more than 587,000 followers on Instagram. Apart from her digital presence, Pundir has also been involved in cricket-related content and has worked on the sidelines as a broadcaster for the Intercontinental Legends League.

Earlier this year, when Dayal was granted anticipatory bail in the case, Pundir shared a message of support for him on social media. In her post, she congratulated him and wrote about overcoming setbacks, which drew attention from fans and followers.

Since the controversy surfaced, Dayal has largely remained out of the public eye. The cricketer has not played competitive cricket since the IPL 2025 final and has stayed away from social media. While Royal Challengers Bengaluru retained him ahead of the IPL 2026 season, the franchise has not publicly commented on the ongoing allegations.
