A 17-year-old Class 12 student, Naitik Kumar, tragically lost his life in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, after losing control of his Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 during a street racing session on Sunday. Kumar was riding with a group of bikers near Janeshwar Mishra Park when the fatal accident occurred.
As Kumar reached Gate number 5 of the park, he attempted to hop over an obstacle on the road. Within seconds, he lost control of his bike and collided with a Honda Activa in front of him. The impact caused him to fall onto a divider, resulting in severe head injuries. The Activa then slid into another high-speed bike, a Kawasaki Ninja, ridden by a biker who was adjusting a 360-degree action camera at the time. Fortunately, the Ninja rider managed to stay on his bike despite hitting the divider.

The crash was captured on the action camera, showing another biker also falling after colliding with the Activa. Kumar, son of an engineer in the Uttar Pradesh electricity department, was rushed to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared him dead on arrival. He was wearing only a helmet, shirt, and jeans, with no additional protective gear.
The Activa rider, Aditya Srivastava, and another biker, Krishna Singh, sustained minor injuries. Kumar’s family refused a post-mortem and left for their ancestral village in Barabanki to conduct the last rites.
Police stated they would investigate the incident further, reviewing CCTV footage and other evidence to determine the exact cause of the accident. Authorities also cautioned against street racing and riding without safety gear, highlighting the dangers involved in high-speed bike stunts.
