3 Dead, Several Feared Trapped in Lodge Collapse in MP

A four-storey lodge near Kotma bus stand in Madhya Pradesh’s Anuppur district collapsed on April 4, 2026, claiming three lives so far, with 10-12 labourers feared trapped under rubble. Chilling CCTV footage captured the horrifying moment as the 10-year-old Agrawal lodge tilted forward before crumbling into dust at 5:30 PM amid nearby excavation work.

NDRF teams, backed by 100 police personnel and SDERF, worked overnight sifting debris near the crowded bus stand. Identified victims include Hanuman Deen Yadav (55) and Ramkripal Yadav (50). Eyewitnesses heard explosion-like sounds before thick dust engulfed the area.
