Damu Naik has criticised senior leader and minister Mauvin Godinho for reportedly offering entry into the party to Jit Arolkar, terming the statement as irresponsible and against party discipline.
Reacting strongly, Naik said such remarks should not be made publicly without proper consultation, adding that they reflect a lack of internal coordination within the party. He cautioned party MLAs against making baseless or premature statements before the media.
The development comes amid political sensitivities involving the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party, with Naik emphasising the need for discipline and adherence to party protocols while addressing matters related to alliances or inductions.
He reiterated that any decisions regarding party expansion or induction of leaders must follow due process and be communicated through official channels, rather than through individual remarks.
