Most-wanted gangster Sahil Chauhan is being brought back to India after being deported from Thailand and is expected to land at Delhi Airport on Saturday. Following his arrival, Haryana Special Task Force (STF) officials will immediately take him into custody.
Chauhan, who is also on the radar of the National Investigation Agency (NIA), is a known member of the Kaushal Chaudhary gang. The gang’s leader is currently lodged in a Haryana jail. Officials say Chauhan operated from abroad and was involved in multiple contract killings executed from foreign locations.
His deportation marks a significant breakthrough for central agencies and Haryana Police, who coordinated closely to track and detain him overseas. The operation involved international cooperation to ensure his return to India for further legal proceedings.
Authorities confirmed that senior STF officer B. Satheesh Balan, IGP Gurugram STF, will address the media on Saturday and provide detailed information about the arrest, deportation process, and future legal action against the accused.
The case is being seen as a major success for law enforcement agencies targeting organised crime networks operating beyond India’s borders.
