Advocate Amit Palekar, during his formal induction into the Congress party, strongly denied allegations of betrayal against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), stating that he did not “cheat” or act against the party’s interests.
Speaking at the event, Palekar clarified that his exit from AAP was not voluntary in the conventional sense. According to him, he was asked to leave the party after repeatedly questioning its position on potential alliances with opposition parties. He said his concerns were not properly addressed by the leadership.

“I was told to leave the party because I was asking more questions than they could answer,” Palekar said, explaining the circumstances that led to his departure. He maintained that his intention was always to seek clarity and strengthen internal discussions within the party.
Palekar further asserted that his political conduct remained transparent and principled throughout his association with AAP. He rejected suggestions that his move to Congress was driven by opportunism or disloyalty.
