‘Checked By Doctor’ Campaign Draws 40,000 Women in Goa, Says CM Pramod Sawant

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that the ‘Checked By Doctor’ campaign, initiated through social media at the All India Institute of Ayurveda in Pernem, has received an overwhelming response from the public.

According to the Chief Minister, nearly 40,000 women came forward for health check-ups despite the campaign being promoted only on social media platforms.

He noted that such initiatives are gaining traction, with increasing public willingness to participate in preventive healthcare programmes. Of those screened, around 3–4 per cent have been referred for further medical investigation.

Sawant emphasised that the government will continue to promote similar health initiatives aimed at early detection and improved healthcare access across the state.
