Indian Army Urges Goa Govt to Restore NOC for Hughes Precision, Flags Impact on Ammunition Supply

The Indian Army has urged the Goa government to restore the No Objection Certificate (NOC) for Hughes Precision Manufacturing Pvt Ltd to store propellant at its Naqueri facility in South Goa.

In a letter addressed to Chief Secretary V. Candavelou, Lt Gen Amardeep Singh Aujla highlighted the company’s critical role in supplying ammunition and cautioned that any disruption could adversely affect operational preparedness.

The Army emphasised that resolving regulatory hurdles is essential, particularly as the firm holds supply orders worth over ₹350 crore under the Make in India programme.

Describing the issue as one of national importance, the Army has sought immediate intervention from the state government to ensure uninterrupted production and timely delivery of defence supplies.
