Car Bomb Massacre at Pakistan Checkpoint Kills 12 Policemen

Militants launched a devastating suicide car bomb attack on a police checkpoint in Bannu’s Fateh Khel area, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, late Saturday, killing at least 15 people and wounding 3 others. Gunmen stormed the shattered post using small drones and heavy weapons before fleeing with police weapons and personnel.

Bannu police chief Muhammad Sajjad Khan confirmed a bomber rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into the checkpoint, followed by fighters entering to continue the assault. A senior official noted attackers deployed quadcopters during the raid and looted the station during retreat. One officer remains missing amid escalating militancy straining Pakistan-Afghanistan ties.
