Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has said that road hot-mixing works across the state have been delayed due to a shortage of tar.
Addressing the issue, the Chief Minister stated that he has directed concerned officials to use premix material as a temporary measure to repair roads and fill potholes until adequate supplies of tar become available.

Sawant acknowledged the inconvenience caused to commuters and stressed that the government is taking steps to ensure that road maintenance work continues despite the shortage.
He said officials have been instructed to prioritise pothole repairs using premix material to improve road safety and ease travel for the public, particularly during the monsoon season when road conditions tend to deteriorate.
The Chief Minister assured that regular hot-mixing work will resume once the supply of tar is restored, enabling the government to undertake more durable road repairs across Goa.
