The Central Government has increased the windfall gains tax on exports of diesel and aviation turbine fuel (ATF) while leaving the levy on petrol exports unchanged for the fortnight beginning June 16.
According to a notification issued by the Finance Ministry, the Special Additional Excise Duty (SAED) on diesel exports has been raised to ₹14 per litre from the existing ₹13.5 per litre.
The duty on aviation turbine fuel exports has also been revised upward, increasing to ₹12.5 per litre from the previous ₹9.5 per litre.
Meanwhile, the windfall tax on petrol exports remains unchanged at ₹1.5 per litre.
The revised tax rates came into effect on June 16 and are part of the government’s periodic review of windfall levies imposed on the export of petroleum products.
