A high-level review meeting to assess preparations for the upcoming NEET (UG) examination was chaired by South Goa Collector and District Magistrate (H/c Kushavati District) Egna Cleetus, IAS, in the presence of Superintendent of Police Tikam Singh Verma, IPS.
The meeting brought together officials from various government departments, educational institutions and law enforcement agencies to ensure the smooth, secure and transparent conduct of the national-level entrance examination.

To streamline the examination process, Sector Magistrates have been appointed to assist the Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs), while members of the District Level Coordination Committee will function as observers at the examination centres.
The district administration has directed all concerned agencies to ensure uninterrupted power supply, emergency medical assistance and adequate transport facilities for candidates on the day of the examination. Authorities have also instructed the installation of biometric verification systems and CCTV cameras at all examination centres to strengthen security and prevent malpractice.
Special arrangements have been planned for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) to facilitate their participation in the examination without inconvenience.
During the meeting, officials also reviewed the security protocol for the transportation of question papers, traffic management plans around examination venues, and separate frisking arrangements for male and female candidates. Additionally, emphasis was laid on providing essential amenities such as safe drinking water, adequate seating, proper ventilation and other basic facilities to ensure a comfortable environment for candidates.
The administration reaffirmed its commitment to conducting the NEET (UG) examination in a fair, secure and well-coordinated manner, with all departments working in close coordination to ensure its successful execution.
