A free seed distribution ceremony was successfully organised by Dr. Sanjay Korgaonkar, former Medical Officer of the Goa Medical College (GMC) Blood Bank and President of Pedne Vikas Manch, in collaboration with the Sumitra Foundation.
The initiative aimed to encourage farming, promote sustainable agricultural practices and support local growers by providing seeds free of cost to residents.

Several dignitaries attended the programme, including Shri Anil Shetye, Deputy Sarpanch of the Village Panchayat of Ozrim, Shri Soma Mulgaonkar, Shri Prasad Khanolkar, Shri Sandip Shetye and Shri Umesh Morudkar, along with other prominent members of the community.
Speaking on the occasion, organisers highlighted the importance of empowering farmers and encouraging agricultural activities to strengthen local food production and environmental sustainability.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from residents, who welcomed the initiative and expressed appreciation for the efforts of Pedne Vikas Manch and the Sumitra Foundation in supporting the farming community.
Organisers said such programmes will continue to be undertaken to promote agriculture, environmental awareness and community development across the Pernem region.
