A 60-year-old man, identified as Krishna alias Shango Naik, succumbed to his injuries following a brutal assault at Chikhali-Colvale, prompting the Colvale Police to register a murder case and arrest two accused.
According to police, Naik was allegedly attacked while returning home after participating in São João celebrations. He sustained serious injuries in the assault and later died while undergoing treatment.
