The Government of India has officially launched the e-OCI (Electronic Overseas Citizen of India) Card, enabling Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders to carry a digital version of their OCI document on their mobile phones.
With the introduction of the e-OCI Card, eligible travellers can present the digital document at immigration checkpoints and to airline authorities, reducing the need to carry the physical OCI booklet during travel.
