Leaders of the Goa Pradesh Youth Congress (GPYC) have submitted a memorandum to the Public Works Department (PWD) and other concerned authorities, urging immediate action to address safety concerns on the NH-66 Manohar Bypass.
The delegation, led by Goa Pradesh Youth Congress State Vice President and South Goa In-charge Vaishnav Pednekar, along with State General Secretary Navdeep Faldesai and NSUI Canacona Block President Harsh Desai, highlighted the issues of non-functional streetlights and the absence of protective fencing along sections of the bypass.

In the memorandum, the leaders expressed concern that inadequate lighting and the lack of fencing have increased the risk of accidents, posing a threat to motorists and pedestrians using the highway.
They urged the PWD and other relevant departments to repair the faulty streetlights and install appropriate fencing along vulnerable stretches of the NH-66 Manohar Bypass to enhance road safety and prevent mishaps.
The Youth Congress leaders called for prompt intervention by the authorities, stating that the proposed measures are essential to safeguard commuters and improve public safety on the busy highway.
