PANAJI: The Goa Police Cybercrime Cell has arrested 20-year-old Tejas Narahare, a resident of Nanded, Maharashtra, in connection with an alleged ‘digital arrest’ scam that duped a 62-year-old Canacona resident of ₹42.60 lakh.
According to police, the fraudsters allegedly posed as officers from the Delhi and Mumbai Crime Branches and accused the victim of involvement in money laundering.

The victim was allegedly threatened and pressured into transferring money to multiple bank accounts as part of the scam.
Narahare was arrested in Nanded with the assistance of the local police. The Cybercrime Cell is continuing its investigation into the alleged fraud and the involvement of other persons.
