Instead of having traditional bridesmaids and groomsmen, the couple chose to have their brothers by their side. I love her (sic),” one user wrote. Another added, “The fact that they were actually the first ones to tell us through this billboard. Not the press, not guests. It was THEM who broke the news (sic).”
Despite temperatures soaring to 37C (98.6F), Swifties, the singer’s devoted fanbase, packed the streets surrounding the arena, hoping to catch a glimpse of the celebrations. Some fans climbed nearby scaffolding for a better vantage point, while others sang along to their favourite Taylor Swift songs and shouted, “We love you, Taylor”. Among them was Canadian teenager Emily, who told the BBC, “I thought it was going to be more gardens, more flowers, more tropical. Something more fancy, something more Taylor Swift.”
