Saudi Arabia has launched the pilot phase of its new Tourist Package Visa, an initiative that allows travellers to book flights, accommodation and tourist visas through a single, integrated platform. The move is aimed at simplifying travel planning and boosting international tourism as part of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 strategy.Instead of arranging flights, hotels and visa applications separately, eligible visitors can now complete the entire process in one transaction through approved travel and tourism service providers. The bundled packages can include return airfare, accommodation at licensed hotels, electronic tourist visa processing, cultural experiences, entertainment events and other tourism activities. The pilot programme is currently available in seven countries — India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Egypt, Jordan and Mexico — through accredited “general category” travel agencies. Saudi authorities said participating providers must offer fully functional digital booking platforms, round-the-clock technical support and dedicated customer assistance.According to Saudi media reports, package prices start from SAR 4,000 and require a minimum stay of two days. Each booking can accommodate up to 14 travellers, making the initiative suitable for families and group tours. The government plans to assess the pilot before expanding the service to more international markets. The Package Visa builds on Saudi Arabia’s recent tourism reforms, including the introduction of electronic tourist visas, visa-on-arrival facilities and transit visas. By integrating visa processing with travel bookings, officials hope to create a more seamless visitor experience while encouraging tourists to explore multiple destinations across the Kingdom. The initiative also strengthens collaboration with private travel operators, enabling them to offer comprehensive holiday packages that combine transport, accommodation and experiences under a single booking.Saudi Arabia’s tourism sector has witnessed rapid growth in recent years. Official figures show the Kingdom welcomed more than 29 million international visitors in 2025, underscoring its ambitions to establish itself as a leading global tourism destination under Vision 2030.
