A woman staff member of the Goa Human Resource Development Corporation (GHRDC) was allegedly caught carrying suspected ganja while reporting for duty at Colvale Central Jail in Goa.
According to the report, the staffer was intercepted by personnel of the Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB) at the jail entrance during a security check. Suspected ganja was reportedly discovered inside thermos containers she was carrying. The containers, along with the suspected substance, weighed around 650 grams in total, including the weight of the thermos.
Authorities reportedly later searched the staffer’s locker and recovered three mobile phones, three ATM cards, a PAN card and an election card.
The woman allegedly fled the spot while officials were conducting inquiries. Further details about the case and the quantity of suspected ganja recovered were not immediately available.
