The activists alleged that development of the area to allot plots has been carried out despite the sanad having lapsed. In a memorandum submitted to Chief Secretary R K Srivastav, Mapusa Block Development Office, North Collectorate, Vigilance and Porvorim police station on Wednesday, PCF demanded action against all those involved in the scam including Deputy Chief Minister Francis D’Souza and Tourism Minister Dilip Parulekar.
Addressing the media, PCF President Prakash Bandodkar alleged that the two ministers conspired with Pilerne panchayat and comunidade to go ahead with the project despite the lapse of the sanad.
“The memorandum gives all the details of how the illegality is being carried out right. As per recent rules, a fresh sanad has to be obtained once it lapses but in the present case, all the laws have been bent,” he alleged demanding prompt action. “If the culprits are not brought to book, we will move the court seeking justice.”
The comunidade is building plots on the 36,000 sq mtrs of the total 96,000 sq mtrs of land. The remaining portion is left out of development it being orchard land.
