Two die in separate incidents
SANGUEM (HC): Two persons died in two separate incidents in Sanguem.
In the first incident, a 40-year-old woman from Wadem Colony No 1, Sanguem, committed suicide by hanging herself on Sunday at about 8 am.
Police has identified the deceased as Rekha Budho Gaonkar.
According to sources in police, Gaonkar was married since the last two years, but had no children. However, the police have recovered a note written by Gaonkar, where the deceased has claimed that constant harassment from her in-laws to be the reason for taking the drastic step.
In the second incident reported at Potrem-Bhati, Sanguem, one Jano Bomo Zambol died after falling into a roadside water drain.
Police claimed Zambol to have been an alcoholic and was reported to have fallen in the roadside drain after having consumed excess liquor.
Bodies of Gaonkar and Zambol have been sent to Hospicio in Margao for autopsy.
