PONDA: The Film Makers Association has demanded from government financial scheme before production stage of the film instead of the existing practice of post production finance.
Briefing the media, Association President Milind Mhadgut said that when the members of his association presented their demand before PWD Minister Sudin Dhavalikar, he advised them to meet Amey Abyankar, who is chief officer of the Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG), and present before him their difficulties.
Consequently, he said, the film makers have submitted their financial scheme to Amey Abyankar who appreciated it and assured to put the scheme details before Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on his return from the US.
As per the details of scheme, film producers will get maximum Rs 60 lakh or 75 percent of the total cost of production whichever less.
The funds will be be provided to film Producers in four installments.
