NGO wants authorities to handle Shigmo in Ponda

PONDA: With the possibility of dual Shigmotsav in Ponda and a subsequent law and order problem, an NGO has urged the authorities to take over the Shigmo committee to organise Shigmo in Ponda.

“We the Human Rights Defenders demand that our ancestral Shigmotsav should not be bifurcated on the basis of caste, creed, party, political rivalry, etc” said Human Rights Defenders President Advino Fernandes.
